Digital Production Designer Intern

Job Description

Effectively translate marketing and branding assets into successful and engaging digital creative. Production and maintenance of all digital-oriented marketing. Capable of quickly creating digital designs - including animation – in a variety of sizes for multi-platform use on both desktop and mobile.

The Digital Production Designer Intern duties may include the opportunity to:

  • Assist in executing email marketing campaigns, including design and production of html emails.
  • Help conceptualize and design digital content.
  • Solid grasp of type and layout skills as well as knowledge and understanding of digital usage.
  • Create design elements for digital media projects, including graphics, images, web ads, backgrounds, navigational elements, animated gifs and banners, icons, and headers
  • Collect user feedback and respond to client requests
  • Work closely with Digital Designer Manager to communicate changes throughout the design process and collaborate with internal clients to ensure satisfaction and ultimate project success
  • Savvy multi-tasker with the ability to juggle multiple projects seamlessly while meeting ever- changing deadlines
  • Gather necessary information to manage project initiatives in a time efficient manner
  • Highly efficient team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment
  • Maintain organization of folder structures, proper naming schemes, hierarchy of all files, documents, assets, and finished content to be kept on shared area network storage platform (SharePoint) for the creative team to access
  • Manage digital image assets for individual projects including understanding the usage and license parameters and requirements
  • Work closely with Digital Design Manager in defining timelines, workload, and production capabilities
  • Leverage knowledge and understanding of digital creative development standards to facilitate effective communication between departmental teams and outsource agencies

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related creative field
  • 2+ years of experience (or equivalent) in digital marketing, digital graphic design
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and HTML / HTML5, CSS styling and Google Web Designer, and MS Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of graphics within digital design process including production procedures, layout, file formats and digital sizing

**Interns will be paid $15 per hour, must be enrolled in classes, & must be able to work between 20-24 hours a week. (Flexibility in days/hours)
