The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center has provided an unparalleled resource for over thirty years. It provides both formal and informal opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to visit, reflect and grow. We welcome increasing numbers of students, community members, and tourists every year. The heart of the Center is a permanent exhibit that tells the story of how bigotry led to outrageous acts of hatred and the eventual murder of six million Jews and five million non-Jewish victims of Nazi rule. The Center also provides a full cultural season each year including films, lectures, and a variety of exhibits on loan from other institutions. Visitors are invited to contemplate these lessons and develop a deeper understanding of why this tragedy occurred. It inspires conversations about what we need to know and do to create a community where everyone is safe and welcomed.
