Year-round sunshine and gorgeous nature make Orlando a haven for golf — and when paired with the destination’s legendary imagination, those same qualities create a paradise for miniature golf, too! At our theme parks and all over town, here are 10 mini-golf attractions where you can tee up family-friendly fun with immersive settings, wild themes and affordable pricing in Orlando. Fore!
Based on Disney’s animated classic, Fantasia, Disney’s Fantasia Gardens and Fairway Miniature Golf at Walt Disney World® Resort offers two 18-hole courses. The easier of the two features five whimsical scenes pulled straight from the classic movie, while the advanced option is more of a traditional course with sand traps, water hazards and sloping greens — albeit built to a miniature scale.
Billed as Santa Claus’ off-season retreat, Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf at Walt Disney World has two 18-hole courses for you to master. The Summer Course’s decorations include surfboards, sandcastles, peppermint-striped inner tubes and a melting snowman, while the Winter Course invites you to putt your way to the North Pole. Just keep an eye out for Squirty the Snowman!
Located at Universal CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort, Hollywood Drive-In Golf has two state-of-the-art, 18-hole courses that harken back to pop-culture films of the 1950s. Choose from “The Haunting of Ghostly Greens” or “Invaders From Planet Putt,” which pay homage to classic horror and sci-fi, respectively, or tackle both for a double feature. Along the way, you’ll play through a cemetery, a giant robot and other fun challenges, all enhanced with interactive elements and special effects.
If it’s the pirate life for you, head to Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf on International Drive or in Lake Buena Vista near Walt Disney World. Both have two 18-hole options — Captain’s Course and Blackbeard’s Challenge — that can be played separately or together for a 36-hole adventure. They also feature pirate theming throughout, and an actual pirate ship is “docked” at the International Drive location.
Congo River Golf has four local outposts, including Kissimmee near Walt Disney World, International Drive and the University of Central Florida area in Orlando, and about 20 minutes north of downtown Orlando in Altamonte Springs. In addition to imaginatively themed, 18-hole courses, all four locations have plenty of extras, including gem mining, arcade games, and even the chance to feed alligators.
True to its name, Gator Golf’s 18 holes of mini-golf wind around Gator Lagoon — which just happens to be filled with more than 200 alligators! You’ll encounter several other animal exhibits as you play through this wild course, which is complemented by live gator wrestling, a daily feeding and hands-on experiences for guests of all ages.
Play miniature golf in a relaxing, tropical setting at Hawaiian Rumble, which is less than 10 minutes from Walt Disney World. The beautiful, 18-hole course is surrounded by swaying palm trees, dramatic waterfalls and Polynesian décor. And pizza-lovers, take note that they offer a special meal deal with the nearby Cici’s Pizza.
Offering two exciting mini-golf adventures, Lost Caverns is on International Drive minutes from Universal Orlando Resort. As you play through a lush, tropical locale with mountain trails and mysterious caves, you’ll be challenged to find diamonds, golden idols and other amazing artifacts. Lost Caverns is also home to numerous alligators, and gator-feeding opportunities are available.
Who says mini-golf is an outdoor game? Located on International Drive close to Universal Orlando Resort, Putting Edge takes the action inside for a glow-in-the-dark adventure like no other, creating an illuminated experience you must see to believe. They also have an interactive arcade for even more family fun.
Depending on where you’re staying in Orlando, you might not have to leave the premises to hit some mini-greens. The reason being, several resorts in the area have onsite miniature golf courses for guests to enjoy, including Holiday Inn Club Vacations® at Orange Lake Resort, Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas, and The Grove Resort Orlando.
