Two miles from the SunRail station, historic Downtown Sanford is packed with trendy breweries and restaurants, boutiques, and live entertainment, accented by the scenic Sanford RiverWalk. Try Tuffy’s Body Shop for live music, Theater West End for intimate live theater, or The Ritz Theater, built in 1923, for plays, concerts and events.

Located 30 minutes north of Orlando, the DeBary SunRail station is surrounded by beautiful parks and trailheads for a scenic getaway. A trailhead directly across from the station leads to hiking, fishing and swimming at Gemini Springs Park, with two additional trailheads on either side should you choose to explore the general area.

The northernmost stop on the SunRail, this section is also notable because the tracks pass over the beautiful St. John’s River. Built in 1926 as part of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, the Orlando Health/Amtrak SunRail Station is your gateway to Orlando’s SoDo District, a walkable area known for its high-tech hospitals, historic homes and beautiful lakes. Stock up on unique Orlando-inspired and locally made gifts at Maffrey’s Good Goods, have lunch at Delaney’s Tavern, and soak up the sun at nearby Lake Beauty. A commuter station near Orlando International Airport, the SunRail station is within easy driving distance of prime shopping at The Florida Mall®, Central Florida’s largest shopping center. Close to attractions, outdoor adventure and vibrant city life, the downtown Kissimmee station offers endless day trip possibilities. Start at Kissimmee Lakefront Park for beautiful views over Lake Tohopekaliga (Lake Toho to locals), and check out the Monument of States, a quirky unity landmark made with stone sourced from all 50 states.

Explore charming downtown Kissimmee on foot or hop aboard the Kissimmee Connector, a free weekday shuttle service that stops at the historic Osceola County Courthouse, City Hall and several other key points of interest. Downtown highlights include prohibition-style entertainment at 3 Sisters Speakeasy, an 18,000-foot antiques market, diverse family-owned eateries, and the Kissimmee Valley Farmer’s Market, which occurs on the first Friday of each month. Osceola Heritage Park, which hosts events and markets throughout the year, is also a short drive away.

If adventure is calling, bring your bike and explore the 6-mile Kissimmee Loop Trail or spend the day hiking or kayaking at nearby Shingle Creek Regional Park. The last stop on our SunRail journey, Poinciana is the gateway to dozens of Central Florida attractions and ecotourism adventures, including the Old Town Entertainment District, Fun Spot America — Kissimmee, Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, and more within ten miles of the station. When does SunRail run?

SunRail trains currently run Monday – Friday only. During morning and evening peak hours, trains operate every 30 minutes. During off-peak hours, trains operate every 2 – 2-1/2 hours. SunRail trains do not operate on the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. A full schedule is available at SunRail.com.

How much does SunRail cost?

Pricing is zone-dependent, and ranges from $2 – $5 for a one-way ticket or $3.75 – $9.50 for a roundtrip journey. SunRail makes stops in Osceola, Orange, Seminole and Volusia Counties, and each county qualifies as one zone. Children 6 and under ride free.

How do I redeem my ticket and board the train?

There are three ticket validation units at each SunRail station. Tap your pass to the reader prior to boarding, wait for it to turn green, and then tap again when exiting at your destination. If you lose your ticket or forget to tap off, you may be charged the maximum one-way fare of $5.

What time should I arrive at the station?

SunRail advises passengers to be properly ticketed, tapped on and ready to board at least five minutes prior to the train’s scheduled departure time. SunRail recommends arriving at least 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
